Wordmark.it
Wordmark.it detects fonts installed on your system with a small Flash script written by Marko Dugonjić ofType Tester. It also uses Remy Sharp's font detection scipt.
Your wordmark is displayed with installed fonts in batches. You can load more fonts but the more you load the slower the loading may become and cause an alert popping up by the browser.

Friends of type
The Basics
Friends of Type features original typographic design and lettering – fresh visual content – practically every day, by the four primary contributors. Posts are meant to log ideas, express ourselves, and inspire each other and our readers. The last week of every month we feature a guest designer, someone we admire and think will elevate our work and the site through their contribution.
This is a sketchbook, an archive, a dialogue. The posts are sketches and ideas on visualized language; a collaborative habit born out of the realtime interactions that made us friends in the first place.

We Love Typography
What?WLT is an image, video, & text ‘bookmarking’ site that is wholly dedicated to type-related content. Think of it as a type-centric and visional delicious, if you like. Membership is by invitation only.
Why?Why, what? If you mean, Why is posting to WLT limited to invited members only? Well, simply because it’s the only way to ensure that all posts are in some way type-related. Open it up to all, & I might as well rename it to weloveporn dot something. Where was I? Oh, yes, why? If, on the other hand, you mean why did I create this site? Because it was so much fun to do, because it was a challenge, & because I like type, typography, lettering, signage, & the slices of inspiration nestled in between. And, in the hope that it will inspire you.
Why do you sometimes use an ampersand, sometimes ‘and’? That’s not very consistent, is it? Consistency is overrated, and, well, if Eric Gill can do it ...

I Love Typography
"I love Typography (ILT) was born on August 7, 2007. It exists because I have a passion for typography, type design, and lettering, and for the words born of those disciplines. As a child I wondered why the teacher asked us to draw the letter a as an o with a tail, when in my books, the a’s had an extra bit at the top. This site aims to make the subject more accessible, to bring the study of typography to the masses, if you will. It’s just about impossible to imagine a world without type, but at the same time type’s ubiquity has most of us taking it for granted. So take a closer look. Where do our letters originate? Why do they look the way they do? And what makes for good type and typography?"

Hatch Show Print
"If you follow music, art, and culture of the American South, sooner or later you're bound to run into the letters, images, and unmistakable "look" of Hatch Show Print. We're one of the oldest working letterpress print shops in America, and over the years our posters have featured a host of country music performers, ranging from Country Music Hall of Famers Hank Williams, Bill Monroe, and Johnny Cash to contemporary stars such as Garth Brooks and Wynonna.
"Advertising without posters is like fishing without worms."
- The Hatch Brothers
We've done it all without losing that irresistible appeal of turn-of-the-century Hatch posters, which were used to promote vaudeville, circus, and minstrel shows across the country. There's a reason why music lovers, Americana buffs, graphic arts collectors and designers, and commercial advertisers of all persuasions continue to turn to Hatch for inspiration. We are, indeed, a tonic for the information age."

Underware
For more than ten years the pan-European design collective Underware has been creating versatile fonts, surfing the waves, conducting type workshops, running the radio station Typeradio, throwing cannon balls, experimenting with blood, practicing kamikaze chess; but mostly, they gave flowers for their mothers and turned them into a cover girl. Which resulted in an everlasting smile on their faces.

The Type Fetish Type Foundry
The Type Fetish
The Type Fetish is the digital type design studio of me, Michael Wallner, located in St. Paul, MN. It was started in 1997, while I was attending the College of Visual Arts, as an outlet for my interest in making typefaces for my school projects. In 2002 I began to sell my work throughMyFonts.com where I continue to this day.
Over time my interests have grown from the destructed faces of Universally Corrupt and Broken Vows to a cleaner, more sophisticated Brogue and Grimm. I am currently working on my first text weight typeface that I hope to have ready sometime in 2011.

PSY/OPS Type Foundry
"PSY/OPS showcases the work of type designers from San Francisco and beyond. The focus of the collection is on text & display systems which are well grounded but which also bring something new and different.
The concepts originate on the drawingboards and monitors of historians and experimentalists, dedicated veterans and inspired laymen. Once selected, the ideas are refined, balanced, and perfected by obsessive sets of hands and eyes in a secluded office in downtown San Francisco.
Why Psychological Operations? Because type is a powerful behavior modification tool. Transparent to the consumer; transcendent to the designer who knows how to use it.
We hope you like what you see on the site, and that you take a moment to get on our private mailing list and send us your comments."

OurType.
Fred Smeijers is a first generation digital type designer, but his interests and practice are rooted in the years before the digital technologies became crucially important.
Now he has thirty years of involvement behind him - with letterforms in general,
and with the design and use of type, and its history. Smeijers is internationally known for his writing and lectures, but above all for his type designs. These encompass the custom-made as well as those that are commercially available. For Smeijers flexibility is very important, as the versatility of his oeuvre testifies. The wish to operate in a more open and flexible way encouraged Fred Smeijers and Rudy Geeraerts of FontShop Benelux to launch the font publishing label: OurType."

Misprinted Type
ABOUT
"Misprinted Type is online since 1998. It is my playground! It started at first as a way to simple distribute the fonts I was creating back then. Later on I decided to also put some collages and drawings... Today Misprinted Type is where I put my ideas together, either in the form of a simple text, a collage, a drawing or a typeface. Everything you see here is my personal works and projects, there is no client, no brief, nothing... Call it design, illustration, art or a waste of time, for me its a theraphy, a hobby and what makes me happy.
Hope you enjoy this place as much as I do!
